dachar lane, steward & founder of selahh studios
at five years old, i stood behind a church podium the size of a redwood tree and delivered a prayer that echoed through the sanctuary. while others found fear, i found my voice. that same voice carried me through student speeches, protest chants, press releases, and brand campaigns.
i studied strategic, legal, and management communication at howard university, and sharpened my skills in public affairs, nonprofits, and agency life — from the department of education to edelman, the washington commanders, and beyond. i later earned my master’s in mass communications from virginia commonwealth university. today, i serve as a communications specialist for the local government in houston, texas, where i write for the commissioner and shape public messaging across the county.
selahh studios used to be lane public relations — a do-it-all agency born from my passion for communications. we pitched, posted, and powerpointed our way through it all. but over time, i craved something deeper. i asked God what my niche really was, and the answer was clear: words.
selahh studios was born from that moment of stillness — that selah. a pause. a pivot. a purpose.
lane public relations glorified me. selahh studios glorifies God.
here, we write everything — from brand bios to love letters to the quote on your coffee cup. no idea is too bold, too offbeat, or too out-there. if it involves words, we’re in.
this isn’t just copy. it’s calling.
welcome to selahh studios.
